Welcome to Dallas Art, the portrait studio in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
My commission work includes people, dogs, cats, horses, houses and boats, and
the occasional still-life.
Prices start from £85 for a pencil drawing  and £120 for a painting. I will need one or more good sized clear photos sent by email or post.These will be returned in good condition on completion of the finished artwork

No deposit is needed. I will send you an email proof when the work is ready, which normally takes about two weeks. I can sometimes speed the process up if its for a special date, such as a birthday

Pencil or paint?
A pencil drawing will be cheaper than a painting for the simple reason that it takes less time to finish but in the end it is personal choice that counts, and most people have a clear preference for one or the other.

The history of drawing and painting goes back a long way. This beautiful example of portrait art was painted in a cave at Lascaux, in the   south-  west of France,  about   17000   years ago, which must make the profession of portrait painter one of the very oldest. No, it wasn't me
who painted it!
