What exactly is morayIS Softwear?
morayIS Softwear is a collection of sophisticated web pages that allows you to have a website that's as big and as elaborate as you make it. Once your morayIS website files are installed you can add, delete and amend pages, images and all manner of files all THROUGH YOUR WEB BROWSER.
Therefore, there's no FTP'ing or publishing your website every time you make a change. You simply log into your 'Control Panel' using your password, make and save your changes and your website instantly reflects that change. You can do this from any computer, PC or Mac, that's connected to the internet and has a browser installed (e.g. MS Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator).
What are morayIS Softwear's main features?
morayIS is very flexible and powerful content management software, however, here is a summary of it's main features:
- Add as many pages to your website as required depending on which product you have.
- Fully control your site's navigation using three different methods.
- Allow visitors to perform a search of all your site's content.
- Add, Edit and Delete pages online whenever you want from any internet and browser equipped computer.
- Include Images and a range of other files within your pages.
- Simply format a page's text with our newest feature: WYSIWYG ('What You See Is What You Get Online Text Editor')
With WYSIWYG you can 'copy and paste' pre-formatted content from existing web pages or even documents. You can also flip between 'Normal view' and 'HTML view', so if you have html skills you can fine tune your pages.
- Edit your 'meta' content and page titles.
How does morayIS Softwear work?
The content of all your pages are actually kept in a database that's within your morayIS site. When a visitor clicks to go to a page the software generates that page 'on the fly' by combining your text and images and then serves them up to the visitor as a web page.

Do I have to do any web design or install a softwear package? Do I need a a high-performance PC ?
No, Because the morayIS Softwear is fully hosted on our webserver, there are no expensive softwear packages to purchase, all thats required from you is that you select from one of our 12 design templates.(Lite & Biz)
Can the site to be visually in keeping with my business or organisation?
Yes, we can style the site so that it is similar to the rest of your business or organisation's material.
What is 'content management'?
Content management is a way of simply controlling the text, images and files within your website without having to get into 'web design' and the knowledge of the software that goes with it. If a person has enough skill to operate a browser then they could certainly manage their website using the content management functions within morayIS Softwear. If you have a business then this means you can keep your site up to date yourself, or delegate it to somebody, and so save the cost of web design fees.
What other functions does morayIS Softwear have besides 'content management'?
Because your page contents are held in a database then their is a simple-to-use but flexible search function built into the site, allowing a visitor to quickly find what they are looking for. You can also change the global page title and 'meta content', again, all very easily.
Because you can upload files, as well as images, (including MS Word Docs, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, Zip files, XML documents, HTML pages, text files, Rich Text Files and Adobe Acrobat .PDF files) then you can use morayIS Softwear to build a document library. And by giving each file or document it's own page with a short description and keywords that document library can be fully searchable. Using the same principle, if you run a business you could build a rich and searchable online catalogue with as many images as you require. (Expert & Expert Unlimited).
Can I use morayIS Softwear on an intranet?
Yes. morayIS Softwear was designed with intranet administrators in mind who have to put together lots of small sites, maybe one for each department. As anybody that's been involved in this process will know, one of the reasons why these projects can get held up is waiting for delivery of the content and waiting for the layout/navigation of the site to be decided. With morayIS Softwear it's possible to put the site together and hand it over (and sign it off!) while that department or section is still thinking about the site navigation and compiling the content.(Expert & Expert Unlimited)

A single site license is currently from £299 + hosting fees.
